You now how I'm always saying you should volunteer for stuff, to get experience and meet local film and television media makers?  How about THIS:
New
Mexico Women in Film is getting ready to shoot their annual donated PSA
and are looking for volunteer crew members to assist in making this
commercial.
This
year they are making the PSA for NM DOG, an organization dedicated to
promoting animal welfare in New Mexico. They work closely with the
Bernalillo County Sheriff's department to remove dogs from neglectful,
chaining situations.  http://www.nmdog.org
The PSA is
going to be shot on location and simulate a 'swat rescue' of a chained
dog. They are  looking into getting a 15' crane donated and would like
to use at least two cameras. As this is a somewhat ambitious project
they would like to get as many film professionals willing to donate
their time as possible.
The target date for shooting
is Sunday, February 9th.  Anyone interested in volunteering can contact
Ayn  Kirby ayn01@gmail.com  or 505.217.8491.
